Welcome to My Hive
It’s been almost three years since I had my breakthrough moment. I had a thriving business helping clients create “feel good” homes. The problem was that I had been struggling with neck pain for over a year along with back, shoulder and knee pain for many years prior. I finally reached a point where I couldn’t escape the pain. It put everything into perspective for me. I finally realized that your body is your forever home. If your body doesn’t feel good, then nothing matters. You are miserable and cannot function properly. You can’t enjoy life. So I took a break on the home design front and focused on repairing my body through a practice called Foundation Training.
Foundation Training is a central component of my hive. It opened up a conversation with my body that I had never had before. It brought me a new kind of strength and mobility from the inside out. Most importantly, I found relief from years of pain and have been able to do more with my life as a result. You can hear more about that journey here.
Fast forward three years and I am now a Certified Level 2 Instructor and teach classes in the community. Foundation Training gives YOU the TOOLS to put yourself back in the driver’s seat of your wellness. Let me help you learn them!
After restoring my body, my husband and I set out to restore a 1903 Dutch Colonial in our quaint little town on the Jersey Shore. I found so many parallels between restoring my body and restoring our home. It was quite an adventure and I want to share the highs and lows in my blog.
My blog will also include my adventures in wellness and in nature. Because of this journey I've been on, I’m able to reflect on so much in life that I think a lot of people can relate to. That’s what I hope to share here, in Homebody Hive. xo Lisa
